As I started down this path to exploring all the ways I could make my life healthier, I realized I started asking new questions that were bigger than just my health. Over time, I began to realize I had to start taking responsibility for more than just me.
I professionally cleaned houses for 15 years. I started out cleaning with typical cleaners such as bleach, 409, and Comet. One day as I was cleaning a shower with Comet, I had a hard time breathing, my eyes were burning, and my heart was racing. I finally "woke up" to the fact that these cleaners were not good for me.
