My Story

I Became Curious

One day while I was working at a client's house, I started coughing and wheezing as I was cleaning their shower. At this point in time I had been eating organic food for a few years in order to avoid toxins, but that day a light bulb went off for me. I realized there were toxins and chemicals getting into my body in other ways. That’s when I got curious.

I wasn't scared, I was curious. I began asking, "What chemicals are in this?"

It’s not that I’m afraid of what could happen…

But I want to be the healthiest me that I can be! I realized a healthy body was more than just eating healthy food. It meant being mindful of what I breathed in, and what I put on my skin. Every personal care product I used and every single item in my home that I touched would either be helping me get healthier, or it would be hurting my body.

From my kitchen to my bathrooms, I began looking up and researching everything. I became curious about what things were made of, how they were made, and if they were toxic once they came to have a place in my home. I slowly started changing out toxic items for new, healthier versions.

This is what I wanted…

I wanted a healthy home. I wanted a home where everything my kids touched was safe. I wanted the air to be clean. I wanted my home to be eco-friendly. I wanted everything that came into my home to be beneficial for myself and my family.

changed everything

They say ignorance is bliss, but it’s really not. When you start to question and learn, you start to feel empowered. As I started questioning everything in my home, I realized I could change it. I could create a home that I wanted to live in. I could create a home that I wanted to raise a healthy family in. It was up to me, and I was so excited to dive in!

I felt empowered. I knew there was a lot of change I wanted to make, but I felt ready to tackle it. I knew it would take time, research, and money, but I was ready. I knew that steady change meant lasting change, so I hopped on the road to a healthy home, and I haven't looked back.
